I was checking my phone 150 times a day while building a mindfulness app. The irony wasn't lost on me.
In 2020, I got kicked out of where I was living in LA. I bounced between cities trying to optimize my way to something that kept moving. One morning in Philadelphia, I woke up to birds chirping and actually heard them. First time in months.
I've spent my career studying broken systems. Turns out I was living inside one. Nobody handed me a blueprint. So I became the architect.
I'm Fee Wiley, and what started as a podcast became two years of the most honest conversations I've ever had. Doctors pulling doubles. Founders on the edge. Social workers carrying everyone else's weight while barely holding their own. Every one of them built something, quietly and imperfectly, in the margins of a life that wasn't slowing down.
Architect of Calm is that book.
We've been told calm is something you find. Nobody taught us it's something you build.
Thirty-five episodes. Conversations across healthcare, law enforcement, tech, education, and social work. Some listeners wrote in to say it was the first time they'd heard their own life described out loud. That's the gap nobody was filling. The people I interviewed weren't failing at wellness. The advice they'd been given was. That's what this book is built to fix.
The book is built in three parts. Foundation: understanding what you're actually working with. Integration: building calm inside a life that already exists. Transformation: learning to change the environments that broke you, not just survive them.
Every phase comes from real conversations. Not theory. Not research abstracts. People who did it inside actual lives. Most of us were never handed the tools. We were handed a destination and told to figure out the rest. This book is the rest.
The interviews are done. The stories are real. The book is written. What I need now is what turns a manuscript into something you can hold: an editor, a page designer, and the production to bring it to life. If that's you, I need you here.
